Josh Groban has had a terrific career over the years, earning multiple Grammy nominations, and now he’s being recognized for his acting skills as well.

Josh has spent time recently on Broadway, in the play ‘Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1912,’ and it’s been announced that he’s been nominated for the Distinguished Performance Award, an award handed out by the Broadway community each year to the actor that has distinguished themselves on stage.

The honor is one of the oldest theatrical honors in America: they were first presented back in 1922. Thanks to his Broadway role in ‘Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1912,’ Josh is nominated for the Distinguished Performance Award, which goes to one person per year, and can only be won once in an artist’s lifetime.

He’s competing against some heavy hitters, as the nominees include John Leguizamo, Cate Blanchett, Sally Field, Danny DeVito, Daniel Craig, Daniel Radcliffe, David Hyde Pierce, Kevin Kline and John Leguizamo. The Drama League Awards are May 19 in New York City. Good luck Josh!
