Blood Sweat and Tears Continuing to Play Live

Blood Sweat and Tears was an oddity in the rock world; they combined jazz and rock with non-traditional instruments like horns with guitars and keyboards. The band enjoyed great success on Top 40 radio with hits like “You’ve Made Me So Very Happy,” “Spinning Wheel” and “And When I Die” from the late 60s. They hit number one on the charts multiple times thanks to those hits. David Clayton Thomas led the group with outstanding vocals, and most people mistakenly thought David was Canadian; he was actually born in the UK in 1941.

The band provided the soundtrack to the popular movie ‘The Owl and the Pussycat’ starring Buck Henry and Barbra Streisand in 1970, but ran out of hits a few years later. They’re out performing live later this year. Let’s take a look…
