Over the weekend something very strange happened on the Internet. A hacker named The Dark Overlord illegally uploaded many episodes of Orange is the New Black, the great show based around an all-female prison, to the site Pirate Bay. These were not all of the upcoming season’s episodes as Season 5 is 13 episodes long. The season is set to be released, in typical Netflix fashion, all at once on June 9.
The Dark Overload wrote a ransom letter of sorts talking about the hacking and how he/she has more seasons of others shows from different studios that will be released unless a ransom was fulfilled.
This is a big issue with Netflix because of how important this show is to their product. It is quite possibly the most popular show on the streaming service if not among the top ones.
