This year’s Ivor Novello Awards will be the 62nd and will be taking place May 18 in London. Two of our favorite musicians will be in attendance and will be going up against each other at this event too! Adele has earned herself a nomination at this show, the PRS for Music Most Performed Work, the same award Coldplay has two songs up for.
Adele’s “When We Were Young” will be competing against Coldplay’s “Hymn for the Weekend” and “Adventure of a Lifetime.” Just last year Adele won Songwriter of the Year and also won that very same award in 2012. She also won the award she is up for this year for her hit, “Rolling in the Deep.” Coldplay won Best Selling British Song for “Viva La Vida” back in 2009, but that is their only win at this award show.
