Los Tar Heels de Carolina del Norte fueron uno de los mejores durante toda la temporada y lo mostraron anoche. En un enfrentamiento enfrentando a dos de las cuatro primeras semillas, el UNC derrotó a los Gonzaga Bulldogs 71-65.
Joel Berry II lideró al equipo en la puntuación con 22 puntos, mientras que los tres grandes rebotes para UNC, Meeks, Hicks y Pinson, realmente trabajó duro en el cristal con 28 de los 46 rebotes totales del equipo.
