The U.K.’s postal agency is planning on honoring the late David Bowie with a new series of commemorative stamps, available now. The series will feature Bowie postage stamps, six stamps that will feature the cover art of his albums, four showing him on stage at various stages of his life. Who else has received such an honor?
Louis Armstrong, Johnny Cash, Nat King Cole, Bill Haley, Woody Guthrie, Buddy Holly, Clyde McPhatter, Elvis, Otis Redding, Selena, Frank Sinatra, Hank Williams, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Muddy Waters have all been on a US postage stamp over the years.
Other artists that have appeared on postage stamps worldwide have been Pink Floyd and the band Rush.
