Jethro Tull rocked the house in the late 60s and 70s, introducing Ian Anderson and his flute to America in fine style. We now hear that Ian Anderson has joined up with original Tull member John O’Hara to cover their own songs with the legendary Irish string quartet the Carducci Quartet, re-creating classical versions of their own tunes.

The upcoming LP called ‘Jethro Tull — The String Quartets’ is scheduled to be released in late March and includes “Locomotive Breath” “Aqualung,” “Living in the Past,” “Songs from the Wood” and “Bungle in the Jungle.”

Ian Anderson is out on tour this spring, here are the dates we know of so far…

5/26 – Morrison, CO
5/27 – Albuquerque, NM
5/28 – El Paso, TX
5/30 – Sugar Land, TX
5/31 – Austin, TX
6/1 – Durant, OK
