If you didn’t catch this year’s Oscars on Sunday night then you missed a pretty special night for many talented men and women in Hollywood. One actress that had a special night was Viola Davis. She was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her work in “Fences.” It was going to be a tough to win with the likes of Naomie Harris, Nicole Kidman, Michelle Williams and Octavia Spencer each nominated for this award, but Viola managed to pull through!

Viola’s role as Rose Maxson won her the award at the 89th annual Academy Awards! This was her third try at winning an award at this prestigious award show, previously being nominated for Best Actress in 2011 (The Help) and Best Supporting Actress in 2008 (Doubt)..

Congratulations to you Viola for your hard work and efforts throughout your career. You deserve this one.
