Twenty One Pilots has easily been one of the greatest rock bands of the past year or so with outstanding hits like “Ride” and “Stressed Out,” but it’s their hit “Heathens” that has found itself in the record books.

“Heathens” just recently charted at number one for 28 weeks on the Hot Rock Songs chart put out by Billboard, making it the longest charting song at number one ever there. The song overtook “Shut Up and Dance” from Walk the Moon, which first reached number one on April 11 of 2015.

It was about five weeks ago that “Heathens” passed over another Twenty One Pilots song. Before “Heathens” the longest charting number one hit for the band was “Stressed Out” at 23 weeks.
