29 years ago Monday, February 20, a star was born in Saint Michael, Barbados. We’re not sure anyone knew that this star would be so bright, but we’re happy it did. Robyn Rihanna Fenty celebrated a birthday earlier this week! This R&B and hip-hop star has been pumping out hits for over 10 years now and hopefully had herself a great time celebrating.

Rihanna has had hit after hit including older ones like “Love the Way You Lie,” “We Found Love,” “Only Girl (In the World),” “Umbrella” and “Take a Bow.” With singles like this, her sales has reached over 200 million making her one of the highest selling artists of all-time.

Rihanna has won many awards during her time, but we’re sure she’s most proud of her eight Grammys, 12 Billboard Music Awards and 12 AMAs among many others. Unfortunately she wasn’t able to bring home hardware from this year’s Grammys, but she was amazingly nominated for eight awards!

Happy birthday Rihanna!
