The Juno Awards recognize the top Canadian performers in music and you would be surprised by the names that are eligible to take home hardware at this one. One of those names is The Weeknd. Not surprisingly though is the amount of nominations he has received at this event. He is tied for the lead this year with five (tied with Shawn Mendes and Drake).
Of the five nominations he has, Drake has four similar to him. Those four are JUNO Fan Choice Awards, Album of the Year, Artist of the Year and Single. The lone differences come where The Weeknd is nominated for R&B/Soul Recording while Drake is up for Rap Recording.
This year’s Juno Awards are being held in Toronto, Canada on April 2.
