1983 seems like a lifetime away as we journey into the early days of 2017, but the music was pretty interesting. What were the top rock songs of 1983?

Conclusion: Obviously 1983 was a great year for British influences on the American music charts (Yes, Men at Work is from Australia). Journey, Quiet Riot, Pat Benatar and Talking Heads represented the USA well, but 1983 was a clear example of foreign artists dominating the charts. Journey, The Police and Talking Heads are in the Rock and Roll Hal of Fame, while Def Leppard and Pat Benatar should be.
