2017 is here, but news out of the rock world is aplenty. We’re going to take a different route today and look at some of the best artists from 2016 that we didn’t take a look at last week. These are some of the artists who had successful hits on the Mediabase Alternative year-end chart.
Silversun Pickups didn’t have themselves a top 25 hit last year, but they did quite well for themselves still. They had two songs crack the top 50 with “Nightlight” and “Circadian Rhythm (Last Dance)” both finding themselves on the chart. Their best hit landed at 29 while the latter ended at 48.
Imagine Dragons didn’t have as big of a year as they have had in the past, but they still did well in 2016. Even then, this great band still had a hit in the top 50. “Roots” landed at number 36.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers had a down year of sorts last year. They have had plenty of huge hits in the past, but this year “Dark Necessities” only found itself at number 16 on the chart.
