Shinedown, Disturbed and More in Final Top Chart

Every week Mediabase breaks down the top Active Rock charts for us and because we are now at the end of 2016, we are seeing the top songs of the entire year on this week’s chart! Who finished number one this year? Who was so close, yet so far away?

Shinedown’s “State Of My Head” was the top hit of this year and by a good margin. It finished with over 2,000 spins more than the next hit. This band also had a second hit finish in the top 10, “Asking For It,” which finished at number 10.

The second best song of the year came from Disturbed. “The Sound of Silence” was a great one and not their only hit on the chart. Their other hit, “The Light,” finished at number six while another song of theirs, “Open Your Eyes,” landed at number 30.
