Everyone knows about Mariah Carey’s version of “All I Want for Christmas Is You” and that’s very apparent after this Christmas day. According to the streaming services, this song was streamed over 15 million times this holiday weekend!
The song was released in November of 1994, but it will always stay relevant for two reasons: Mariah did an amazing job on the track and it’s the best Christmas song around.
This hit was released as a part of her very first holiday album, “Merry Christmas.” Her debut Christmas album had 10 tracks on it, but none were better than “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” It was such a great album that it would reach number three on the US Billboard 200 chart and reach number one in Japan and on other charts in the United States (Holiday/Catalog Album charts).
Thank you Mariah for an amazing hit that we so very clearly love to listen to even to this day!
