Washington to Consider Firearms Being Allowed at Professional Events

There is a new piece of legislature that has been introduced in Washington state that is highly controversial and potentially dangerous. The bill would allow guests of sports stadiums to bring in licensed firearms as long as they have a permit.

The biggest of issues surrounding this piece of legislature is what this would mean for the Seattle Mariners and Seattle Seahawks home stadiums. Both are privately owned, but on public land. Would the NFL and MLB’s ban on guns override this piece of legislature? This is certainly something to look at as this legislature gets looked at.

Recently there have been multiple videos that have shown fans at NFL games cause huge fights during or after games. Would allowing a firearm inside the stadium help or hurt those kinds of situations?
