Slipknot has had a busy 2016 and they can’t help it if things have gotten in the way of working on a new album. Earlier this month they announced that they would be working on a new album next year though, exciting fans everywhere.
The band has had to deal with Corey Taylor’s battle with alcoholism as well as emergency surgery in the summer. Those two certainly were worthy of delaying writing new music. Taylor opened up about that battle with alcoholism during the tour and was very candid about it.
There is no firm date as to when the band will begin writing music, but the month of February has been floating around as a potential starting time.
