The Weeknd has been busy lately, putting out new music and performing at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. His music is doing great and his recent release, “Starboy,” is putting up ridiculous numbers! Let’s take a look at how his streaming totals have gone so far…
“Starboy” the album just recently broke the record for total streams in a week. Amazingly, this album garnered 400 million streams in one week! To go along with that, “Starboy” recorded almost 225 million of those streams on Spotify. That’s a lot of people listening to his music!
With this kind of dominance in streaming media, it should come as no surprise that the album has dominated the iTunes charts. It is one of three albums to reach number one on 90+ charts across the globe. The other two albums come from Beyonce (Lemonade) and Drake (Views).
