The Thanksgiving holiday weekend is always a big one for the box office with so many days off for families to take a few hours out of their day to catch a flick. There were plenty of great movies to watch this past weekend as was evidenced by the numbers. Let’s take a look at how the top movies did…
Moana led the five-day weekend with just over $80 in box office revenue. It took in about $55 million of that Friday to Sunday. It’s voice cast is led by The Rock, Dwayne Johnson, who many loved in this one.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them brought in the second most at the box office this past weekend, generating just over $65 million. After two weekends, it has brought in over $150 million!
Doctor Strange is a movie that we really enjoyed seeing and plenty agree with us. After bringing in just under $20 million at the box office this holiday weekend, it brings its total revenue over $200 million.
