The Chainsmokers are on the charts with a great song (featuring Halsey) called “Closer.” Let’s get to know them a little better.
The Chainsmokers are a duo: Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall. Alexander is from Westchester, NY, while Andrew was raised in Freeport Main. The two went to different colleges a while ago, but met through a DJ that had been putting unique ‘club’ sounds on the street.
Their first break came with the single “Selfie.” The boys have had their share of controversy, when earlier this year they said “Perfect Illusion” by Lady Ga Ga “sucked” and insulted her manager. Going one step further a few weeks later, they implied that Rihanna’s work was over rated.
The boys have a few limited tour dates left this year, with a few 2017 dates announced.
