Florence Henderson, the legendary actress who brought Carol Brady to life in the wildly popular TV series ‘The Brady Bunch,’ has died at the age of 82.

Florence Agnes Henderson was born in 1934 in Dale, Indiana. A child of the depression, Florence’s family counted on the money she would earn, singing on the street corner at an early age. Florence eventually found her way to Broadway, snaring the lead in productions like ‘Oklahoma’ and ‘Wish You Were Here.’

As fame and fortune goes, in spite of her lofty accomplishments on stage and screen, Florence achieved her highest notoriety as the mother of a blended family, the ‘Brady Bunch’ in the late 60s and early 70s. Florence Henderson suffered heart failure, and passed away Thanksgiving night with friends and family at her bedside.

Florence is survived by her children Joseph, Barbara, and Robert. Florence was also the grandmother of five.
