20 years ago this past November 12 we saw one of the best female rap albums of all time released by the great Lil’ Kim. Can you believe it’s already been 20 years since we saw the release of “Hard Core” from her?

This was the debut album from Lil’ Kim and boy did it rock us all. It had three great singles on it that led to the album charting at number 11 on the US Billboard 200 and number three on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts. Those singles included “No Time,” “Crush On You (Remix)” and “Not Tonight (Ladies Night Remix).”

The album was known and loved for its sexual tone and would end up selling over six million albums across the globe. Some of the big names that worked with Lil’ Kim on the album included Jay-Z, The Notorious B.I.G., Jermaine Durpi, and Puff Daddy.
