The Beach Boys LP “Pet Sounds” is celebrating a 50 year anniversary in 2016, and it’s been a busy year for its creator Brian Wilson. His memoir ‘I am Brian Wilson’ was released last week, and now there are details of a new Brian Wilson album out this year, exciting Beach Boy fans around the world!

Brian is now 74 and appears to be in good physical and mental health, but that’s not always been the norm. Although Rolling Stone Magazine ranks Brian as the number 12 ‘Greatest Songwriter of All Time,’ he’s been described as mercurial and temperamental. Brian’s mid-60s temper tantrums and nervous breakdowns have been fodder for the press, but through it all he’s still one of the greatest forces in music. The Beach Boys have sold hundreds of millions of records and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988.

The highly anticipated Brian Wilson album is expected to contain a majority of rock and roll originals with a few of his original songs re-recorded. The LP is expected to be released before the end of the year.
