Train is back on the charts with a song called “Play That Song” and we thought we give you a little background on the band. This San Francisco group started with Patrick Monahan (vocals), Jimmy Stafford (lead guitar), Drew Shoals (drums), Nikita Houston (backing vocals) and Sakai Smith (backing vocals), Jerry Becker (rhythm guitar and piano), Luis Maldonaldo (guitar) and Hector Maldonado (bass and vocals).

Most fans don’t realize they began in 1998; it simply took them a long time to arrive. “Drops of Jupiter” earned the boys two Grammys, and inspired millions of album sales. Pat Monahan the founder of the group, founded the band in San Francisco, but is a proud ‘born and raised’ Erie PA boy! He’s worked on becoming a respected actor, recently starring in a gust role on CSI: New York as a murder suspect.

Although it’s early, Train recently announced its 2017 tour for their ‘Sail Across the Sun’ Tour. The only announced event is on February 15th through the 19th in Tampa, FL.
