Van Morrison’s “Brown Eyed Girl” was originally entitled “Brown Skinny Girl” until the record label mad Jim change the song title.

The 80’s song “99 Luftballons” by Nina was actually a protest song over the Cold War going on between then US President Ronald Regean, and Russia.

The Bangles song “Manic Monday” and the Sinead O’Connor song “Nothing Compares 2U” were written by Prince.

Led Zeppelin won its plagiarism lawsuit this past summer over the song “Stairway to Heaven,” but the crowd booed the boys on stage the very first time it was played.

Credit the GEICO Insurance Company for getting the band Europe back together after its use of their bit hit “The Final Countdown,” which threw the spotlight back on the boys. Up until then, they were barely speaking to each other.
