Well, the summer is officially over, so let’s get back to college football, the World Series, the fall fashions and television specials, and your music news headlines…

Barbra Streisand has been in the news recently, making a personal appearance and endorsement supporting Hillary Clinton for president. She’s also been in the New York papers with a rousing endorsement for the upcoming remake of her classic movie “A Star is Born” starring Bradley Cooper and Lada Gaga.

Taylor Swift was called for jury duty last week, taking selfies with other perspective jurors, appearing to be having a great time being a regular gal. Well, she’s been dismissed from jury duty, so there’s no need to visit the courthouse this week.

Pharrell Williams announced last week that he will be joining forces with Dean and DeLuca Grocery stores to pack their shelves with a new line of food products designed to be a healthy choice for middle America.

John David Chapman the man who murdered Beatle John Lennon has been denied parole for the ninth time last week. The parole board denied parole for the convicted criminal on the grounds that it would not be in the public’s best interest to have him set free.
