It’s been seven years since Green Day had a number one hit and now they can say they have it. On Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Songs chart, they sit at number one after being number five last week. The song is titled “Bang Bang” and it’s a huge hit for the band that’s been around for what feels like forever.
It’s not just this Billboard chart though. It finds itself on the Active Rock and Alternative charts on Mediabase this week. Is Green Day back? We certainly think so!
Other number one hits for Green Day include “Holiday,” “Boulevard of Broken Dreams,” “Enemy,” “Boulevard” and now “Bang Bang.”
