If you were born with the name Patricia Mae Andrzejewski and wanted to be a rock and roll star, you might change your name to Pat Benatar too! Ms. Benatar was born in Brooklyn in 1953, growing up operatically trained as a singer with the chops of a rocker, which was highly unusual at the time as there were very few female rocker role models.
Pat met the love of her life Neil Giraldo, the lead guitarist of the band, and wed in 1982. Between the two of them have two girls, living the life of a crazy rock family. Hey someone should write a book! Better yet, how about a musical?

Sure. The pair recently announced that they are working on a musical (in the style of ‘Jersey Boys’ or ‘Rock of Ages,’) penned by the accomplished writer Gary Lennon (Orange Is the New Black, The Shield), and produced by Jamie Cesa reportedly due to hit Broadway next year.
