With the MTV VMAs complete, we have ourselves one amazing stat that we are just in awe over. We saw Beyonce join an elite group of artists that is so elite she’s just the second member of it. Beyonce joined Rihanna as the only other artist to win the Video of the Year award at the MTV VMAs ever!
Beyonce won the award this year because of the music video for “Formation,” which is just as powerful a song as it is a music video. She also won this award in 2009 for “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It).”
Rihanna won this award in 2007 and 2012 for her hit music videos “Umbrella” and “We Found Love.”
A huge congratulations to Beyonce for accomplishing this feat and we look forward to more from this talented artist.
