American Idol Star Jax a Fighter

Jax became a household name after season 14 of American Idol, but now she’s making waves for how she’s battling through another “competition” of sorts. This 20-year-old star has more fight than many her age, as she has been hit with some very unfortunate news lately. It was just recently that it came out that she was not only battling Hashimoto’s disease, but also thyroid cancer.

What started as mood swings throughout her recent tour turned into something she went to the doctor for. Eventually she found out about these two issues and has been a role model in how she’s fighting it every single day. This is evident by her signing up for the Tuesday’s Child marathon on November 6 even though she’s going through radiation treatment to help fight her cancer.

While these issues are very private to her, she felt she needed to speak out on the subject and has done so for her fans. What an amazingly strong woman!
