Ringo Star was the most underappreciated Beatle in our view, having joined the band after the devious departure of former drummer Pete Best in the early 60s. Sure, Ringo played the part of a silly, nonsensical dolt well, but most critics and historians put Ringo as one of the smartest of the Fab Four. Ringo was never considered the smart Beatle, yet he was smart enough to marry a Bond girl, Barbara Bach.
