What a crazy past week it has been and Fetty Wap has found himself in the middle of it unfortunately. After Fetty witnessed the news of the deaths of Alton Sterling and Philandro Castile, he took to Twitter to share his thoughts. What he sent would rock his fan base and would eventually cause himself to delete that tweet.
Fetty tweeted out “My kids are Mixed… #AllLivesMatter.” What he didn’t realize is that many consider that hashtag to be anti-black lives matter, which he says was never his intention when he sent that tweet out. Fetty then took to Twitter to apologize to many of his fans after deleting that original tweet. He would also include an apology on Instagram explaining what happened.
Fetty unintentionally got himself mixed in to something he didn’t want to and learned just how important it is to really watch what you say on social media. We do appreciate his honesty and ability to admit an unintentional wrong doing.
