Sometimes Rock and Roll gives the world an unusual group or sounds that are hard to categorize, and Tears for Fears is one of those examples. Who is Tears for Fears? Let’s find out.

Tears for Fears is Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith, a dynamic duo that met in their early teens in South-West London in the late 70s, and initially became session musicians for the band Neon, but broke out on their own as Tears for Fears in the mid-80s. The boys American highlight was performing at the 1985 MTV Video Music Awards.

“Shout,” “Everybody Wants to Rule the World,” and “Head over Heels,” were outstanding singles from various albums in the 80s, and Tear for Fears has won many Brit Awards and continue to tour today, although they did break up in the 90s as they found themselves headed in different music directions, and to make matters worse their manager Paul King declared bankruptcy in 1990 and was later convicted of fraud. Tears for Fear played this year on the ABC Jimmy Kimmel Live show.
