A little while back, John Legend donated a cool $500,000 to help renovate a theater in Ohio. This Ohio school district is pleased to report that the $2.5 million theater is close to completion and in fact will be done around September.
Once the renovations are complete, the theater will be made available for a fee as opposed to its current status where meeting rooms are available free of charge. As always, the school district must find a nice common ground between charging too much and making enough money to keep the theater going.
John Legend’s large donation obviously has played a major impact on these renovations and it’s these kinds of donations that help music stay alive and keep us feeling good about the musicians we love so much.
