The lyrics directly put into words the frustration of soldiers coming back from the Vietnam War, its misgivings and empty promise of healing.

“Living in the USA” is a song made hit by multiple artists including the Steve Miller Band, Linda Ronstadt, Chuck Berry and more. The song is short, sweet and to the point.

“America” by Neil Diamond is a smash July 4th hit from the 1980 ‘Jazz Singer’ album, perfectly presenting the sound of honor and old glory.

“Philadelphia Freedom” by Elton John was written for his gal pal Billy Jean King and her pro tennis team based in Philadelphia.
