Five years ago this week we were blessed with an amazing album from Lady Gaga called, “Born This Way.” The album really thrust her into top singer status as it had many monster hits. Let’s discuss the album a little more…
“Born This Way” was released on May 23, 2011 and sold over six million copies during it’s time in the limelight. It included huge hits like “Born This Way,” You and I,” “Judas,” and “The Edge of Glory.”
The album would chart at number one on 27 different charts around the globe with number one finishes in Argentina, Germany, Croatia, New Zealand, United States, United Kingdom, and Russia among many others.
“Born This Way” won Favorite Album at the 38th People’s Choice Awards and would receive three Grammy nominations including Best Pop Solo Performance, Album of the Year, and Best Pop Album. It would not win any of those nominations though.
