Music is meant to make us feel good and to help earmark important times of our lives with joy and uplifting tunes. Here’s another look at songs that bring a smile to our face when we hear them…

“Baby Blue’ by Badfinger from the album ‘Straight Up’ was a catchy song about a Dixie Armstrong, a girl lead singer Pete Ham was dating at the time. The song was produced in 1971 by Todd Rundgren, and hit the charts in 1972.

Benny Mardones’ “Into the Night,” a song about a forbidden love, was not only a great song, but it was a great song – twice! Benny was born in Cleveland and lived in New York the time the song hit the charts the first time in 1980. For some reason, Benny went back into the studio, moved a few things around, and released it again in 1989 which caused it to rise in the charts even higher the original 1980 release.
