Movies and Music are meant to be together forever, as both capture our imagination. Here’s part two of our look at the best songs used in movies…
‘Vision Quest’ is the perfect 80s movie that used the talent of Madonna (Crazy For You) “Only the Young” from Journey, “Time for Me to Fly” by REO Speedwagon, and “Harden My Heart” from Quarterflash. Lots of hits, lots of great movie memories.
‘Almost Famous’ was easily the movie that leverages the best songs of the 70s. Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer” on the bus scene was classic. “America” by Paul Simon was a perfect use of the lyrics for the scene in which it was used, while the Jethro Tull songs were thrilling to hear.
‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ by Queen in ‘Wayne’s World’ captured the power of the song with the absurdity of the characters. This song and movie was a match made in heaven.
The film ‘Reservoir Dogs’ brought back the Stealers Wheel classic “Stuck in the Middle with You” and we’re so happy it did. You’ll also hear the George Baker Section song “Little Green Bag” in the violent Quentin Tarantino film.
