It was this week seven years ago that the country world was hit with Taylor Swift’s “You Belong with Me.” The song went on to sell millions and be nominated for many awards, so let’s talk about them.

Released on April 18, 2009, the single came off of Taylor’s second album, “Fearless.” Amazingly, it has sold over five million units since that time!

The song was nominated for many awards, resulting in many pieces of hardware landing on her mantle. She won Favorite Song at the 2010 Teen Choice Awards as well as the Best Female Video award at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. “You Belong with Me” was nominated for three Grammys, but unfortunately lost all of them.
