Have you heard? Kendrick Lamar is being sued because of a Bill Withers’ sample he used in his song “I Do This.” The sample in question comes from Bill Withers’ “Don’t You Want to Stay” and are suing him and his label, Top Dawg Music, for copyright infringement.

Mattie Music Group has filed the suit because they have the rights to “Don’t You Want to Stay.” They believe that he has openly admitted that he did sample that song in his 2013 single, “I Do This.”

Lamar isn’t new to allegations against him, as he was sued in 2014 for supposedly sampling “Old and Wise” without permission. The Alan Parsons Project were behind the lawsuit that year.
