Ed Sheeran went on a sort of hiatus a short while back saying that he wanted to disconnect with the world and stay off social media for a while. This decision has made us really miss him, but we certainly respect him for it. We certainly couldn’t do it!
The Billboard Music Awards released their nominations earlier this week and we can’t stop thinking about who will be taking home hardware on May 22. Let’s take a look at Ed Sheeran’s nominations at this prestigious award ceremony.
With what a great 2015 he had, Sheeran is an easy nomination for Top Male Artist. He’s facing stiff competition though with The Weeknd, Fetty Wap, Drake, and Justin Bieber also up for the award.
Sheeran is also up for Top Radio Songs Artist, which makes a whole lot of sense considering we could never jump in the car without hearing one of his hits. Justin Bieber, Ellie Goulding, The Weeknd, and Taylor Swift are also up for this one.
He’s also up for Top Billboard 200 Album for his work on “x.”
