The Weeknd’s Massive Haul at Juno Awards

The 2016 Juno Awards occurred this weekend and there were many stars celebrated. This Canadian event was held in Calgary and is commonly known as the Grammys for Canadian music. It wasn’t just your average award show either. This award show was the first ever shown in 4K!

The biggest winner of the event was The Weeknd. He won five awards at the event including, Single of the Year, Album of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, R&B/Soul Recording of the Year, and Artist of the Year. His “opponents” for the Album of the Year award included some huge names including Justin Bieber, Jean Leloup, Drake, and Shawn Mendes.

The event was quite huge, lasting two nights with the gala dinner happening on Saturday night. Many of the awards given out at the 2016 Juno Awards were done so at this gala dinner.
