Every week it seems a star dies and this week that star is Patty Duke. After 69 amazingly talented years, she passed away due to sepsis from a ruptured intestine.
She was well known in her earlier years because of The Patty Duke Show and The Miracle Worker. What was quick amazing about her work on The Patty Duke Show was that she played two characters, Patty Lane and her cousin, Cathy Lane. There were 105 episodes during those years.
On The Miracle Worker, Patty Duke portrayed Helen Keller, which she did amazingly well. She would win an Oscar for her role.
Over time, she had four husbands with her last being Michael Pearce. Together they would adopt a son, Kevin.
