Rich Robinson, former Black Crowe drummer, has been added to the Bad Company lineup in the absence of Mick Ralphs. Joe Walsh is touring with Bad Company this summer.
Former Deep Purples’ member, Ritchie Blackmore, is being sued by his former label Frontier Records for lack of support in their expensive album ‘All Our Yesterdays.’ It’s odd as it’s usually the artist that sues the label for lack of promotion or support. They are looking to get back a big chunk of the $220,000 they advanced Ritchie to record the album.
In more legal news, former Beatle Paul McCartney is working to get back the discography of his songs sold to Michael Jackson in 1995. In simple terms (legal language is so much mumble jumble) he believes he can use a portion of the copy wright laws to get songs that are older than 52 years, and a few other fine print interruptions.
The Rolling Stones recently discovered that a former studio engineer from the early days of the band has discovered tracks that had intended to be burned. Jeremy Nelson was 19 at the time, and instead of burning unused audio tracks, he simply took them home and forgot about them for 50 years.
