Rockers and Their Crazy Demands on the Road

When bands go on tour, their management sends a ‘rider’ to the upcoming venues, with a list (actually demands) of what is expected when the band gets to the gig. Often times it’s the kind of food, beverages, dressing rooms characteristics etc. However, some bands get crazy with their requests. These are a few that caught our eyes…

Van Halen famously demanded that there would be pounds of M&Ms in the dressing room but that here be NO brown M&Ms. Years later we discover that the boys made that request to make sure the promoter actually read the rider, and had no problem with that color of M&M.

AC/DC demands that 3 oxygen tanks with masks must be provided for their dressing rooms. Cher in the early 80s demanded a separate dressing room for her hair pieces.
