February is a big month for award shows with the Grammys and Oscars both occurring during the shortest month of the year. With these events occurring, we’ll be seeing many big performances on the biggest of stages. One entertainer who will be on this grand stage will be the Weeknd. He’s had plenty of recent success with his hit singles, “The Hills” and “Can’t Feel My Face.” Both of these songs lifted him to the unofficial title of being the hot artist of the summer, but neither are the reason why he’s here. His song, “Earned It,” from “Fifty Shades of Grey,” is up for Best Original Song.
The Weeknd isn’t the only big name to have been announced to perform during the show. Lady Gaga and Same Smith are all set to perform on February 28. Maybe it’s coincidental or maybe it’s not, but all three of these singers are up for the same award – Best Original Song. They will be also battling it out with David Lang and J. Ralph & Antony for the same award.
These three are just a few of the many great performance we’ll be seeing when the Oscars roll around at the end of the month.
