The upcoming Kanye West album was announced to release on Feb. 11 and it certainly looks like Kirk Franklin will be a part of it. Kanye has been on Twitter calling his album, “Waves,” a “gospel album,” and if there was a gospel singer to throw on the album than it certainly should be Franklin. He has won seven Grammys during his time as an artist, so he definitely made an impression on the gospel industry.
Even with Kanye tweeting about the style of “Waves,” it’s not our first thought to hear Franklin on this album, but we’re more than willing to welcome it. He’s not listed as a featured artist specifically on any of the songs on the tracklist, so we’ll just have to wait a few more days before hearing which tracks he is on.
