Alicia Keys Celebrates a Birthday

Today 35 years ago, a great singer and entertainer was born. She was born in New York City and proceeded to make an appearance on The Cosby Show before winning five Grammy Awards off her debut album. Which star are we talking about? Alicia Keys!

“Songs In A Minor” was a massive hit, winning five Grammy Awards and selling 12-plus million copies. As for her personal life? Keys has two boys, Genesis and Egypt, with her husband Swizz Beats. The two got married at the end of July six years ago.

Keys has won many many awards in her time as an artist, including 15 Grammys, two BET Hip Hop Awards, seven BET Awards, and six Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Awards.
