Wilco has just announced a brand new album, Cruel Country, which is set to release on May 27.

“Falling Apart (Right Now)” is the band’s leading single off the album, showcasing their full embrace of the country music genre.

“We’ve never been particularly comfortable with accepting that definition, the idea that I was making country music. But now, having been around the block a few times, we’re finding it exhilarating to free ourselves within the form, and embrace the simple limitation of calling the music we’re making country,” said Jeff Tweedy in a statement.

To celebrate the release of Cruel Country, Wilco will be performing the album in full on its due date at the Solid Sound Festival.
