After arriving at LAX after a Barbados vacation with his pregnant girlfriend Rihanna, A$AP Rocky was arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department for his connection in a 2021 shooting.
According to sources, Rihanna was with the rapper, otherwise known as Rakim Mayers, when he was arrested. Mayers was booked into jail and later paid his $550,000 bond less than three hours later.
In November of 2021, there was a shooting in Los Angeles in which the victim told police that Mayers, among two others, approached and shot him. The victim’s left hand was grazed by one of the three or four bullets that were shot. According to LAPD, the shooting occurred after an argument between two acquaintances escalated.
Mayers, according to reports, has a court date set for August 17.
